The Plague (ingo starcruiser v noonday underground)
Recorded by Simon Dine/Peter Ingo
Recorded at Kombucha London/171 London May 2003
Pete Ingo,vocals Simon Dine,Music
This tune was a simple task in song writing. Simon was tryin to get together the noonday underground record and needeed some vocals. Of the 10 or so instrumentals he gave me this one stood out. He said he wanted a Beck 'odelay' type song a bit sexy a bit druggy and piff paff poof here we are. A tale of two timing betrayal and having a sex pit in the basement of your house. I love this song but this version should never have seen the light of day, Neither Simon or myself wanted this song on the compilation but Stephen at moshi in his infinite wisdom put it on there anyway. It was only meant as a demonstration version and the finally released track by Noonday Underground was re-vocalled by Daisy Marley, re-titled 'Time to get down' and released on the 'Set Sail' album in Japan. In this country it was released as a LTD edition 12" if you can find one snap it up..rare as rocking horse shit. I have re recorded it for the next ingo album in a more Dre way and you can hearnit in the live set.

The Plague
The Plague I bring to both your houses
It's pretty low but since i've been let out
I know Surely ladies you know how this
revolves, make the call
Get the celibates round
Its time to get down
Theres a booth in the back
for fooling around
I got enough shit to keep you
June to Christmas
I can't hear you!
The Plague took on just two more houses
before they all got wind and shut me down
Surely, ladies, you know,
this will, turn you on to assholes
